Visions and Voices of Emancipation Trailer
Spanning the years of 1841 to 1866, this feature documentary, Visions and Voices of Emancipation, offers healing and unity through the retelling of the Juneteenth story, reflecting on little-known stories of freedom and black excellence. The film looks at the key events and people that led up to Juneteenth and the abolishment of slavery in the United States and its surrounding territories. The film also includes an accompanying time-based XR exhibit.
The time-based exhibit is coming this June 19th, 2023, to the Nia Cultural Center in Galveston, Texas, and the Texas Institute for the Preservation of History and Culture at Prairie View A&M University.
